Parthenocarpy is a biological trait naturally present in courgettes. This attribute allows fruit to form without pollination of the female flowers.

Frutastic is the result of the work of our research and development teams to select varieties with a high level of parthenocarpy while combining yield, fruit quality and plant balance for a safe production.

This innovation makes harvests more reliable, with guaranteed yields in all circumstances: in the absence of pollinators, in difficult growing conditions (closed shelter, cold or hot temperatures, temperature variations) and in the absence of male flowers in the crop. Frutastic’s natural parthenocarpy also means that fructification can take place without the addition of a fruit set activator.

This new range offers uncompromising fruit quality, with a high degree of uniformity throughout the production cycle, and a low level of waste, particularly for the first harvests. The fruit is cylindrical, dark green and regular in size. It meets all the expectations of the French courgette market.

The Frutastic range varieties are suitable for both conventional and organic crops grown under cover.
