SUNFORTIS® is a non-microbial biostimulant designed to increase the tolerance of vine, orchard, vegetable and MAP (medicinal and aromatic plants) crops to sunburn. Developed from a rigorously selected magnesium-rich mineral extracted from one of TIMAB MAGNESIUM’s mines, this innovation is presented as a micronised wettable powder with unique spectral properties.

These properties provide the plant with sun protection by reflecting UVB rays to limit the production of ROS (Reactive Oxygen Species) and reflecting NIR (near infrared) to reduce fruit and leaf sunscald. Protection of part of the visible spectrum helps preserve chlorophyll pigments from degradation while maintaining photosynthetic activity.

In addition to this physical effect, SUNFORTIS® contains highly bioavailable magnesium, essential for photosynthesis, enzyme metabolism and sugar transport. It therefore helps maintain the plant’s physiological functioning even under stressful conditions, ensuring improved marketable yield and harvest quality.
