GOLDFLY® (Eristalinus aeneus) is a generalist hoverfly pollinator capable of efficiently pollinating a wide range of crops. Its effectiveness has been demonstrated in protected cultivation (greenhouses, tunnels and netting systems) as well as in open field production, both for seed production and commercial crops. This hoverfly can improve both yield and the quality of seeds and fruits, and its strong tolerance to high temperatures makes it an excellent alternative or complement to traditional pollinators (honeybees, bumblebees). Its innate foraging behaviour, characterised by frequent and rapid floral visits, ensures effective pollination across crops.
