CHRYSOLINE EGGLINE

Bioline Agrosciences France

CHRYSOLINE EGGLINE is a ready-to-use, innovative solution for applying lacewing eggs. Lacewings are widely used across a broad range of crops to control many pests. However, their cost when applied as predatory larvae can be a barrier to large-scale and widespread use. Bulk lacewing eggs are an interesting alternative to reduce costs, but their application is not always straightforward.

CHRYSOLINE EGGLINE provides a simple and effective solution for applying lacewing eggs. Supplied as a spool of jute twine onto which the eggs are attached, the product is applied by simply unrolling the twine over the crop. The number of eggs per linear metre has been precisely calculated to deliver the correct dose, with eggs grouped into small clusters evenly distributed along the twine. Application is therefore very quick and requires no prior preparation. The solution leaves no substrate residue and, once the eggs have hatched, the twine can be removed even more easily than it was installed.

Because the eggs are fixed to the CHRYSOLINE EGGLINE twine, there is no loss on the ground. Thanks to their pedicel, the eggs are protected from ants and other predators. CHRYSOLINE EGGLINE also demonstrates a very high hatching rate under practical conditions of use, which is easy to observe and provides a clear visual indication of larval activity within the crop.

Note:
The jury of the SIVAL Innovation Awards 2026 considers this innovation to be very promising. However, it would like more feedback from practical use and additional trial results before making a final decision for the selection. For this reason, the jury has exceptionally authorised the candidate to resubmit their application next year or the year after (2027 or 2028).
